New Novos Film Art Print by JC Richards on sale today

No comments:

Jonathan Brebner is helping finance his science fiction movie by offering prints of certain scenes from the movie. The film is about humanity’s return to Earth, featuring heavy use of both practical and computer generated (CG) effects.

Finally, here’s the first print in the production print line-up. Created by the wonderfully talented JC Richard, “We Keep Watch” is a 28″ x 12″, 10-color (with 2 fades) screenprint with an edition of 120. There are also Night and Mist variants with editions of 40. Printing will be by D&L Screenprinters.

The 1st Edition will be $50 and the variants will be $70 each. The prints will go up at the Novos Store at 11am PST on Friday, July 29th. However, since print package buyers will get first dibs on the variants, there’s a chance there will be very few left over for the general drop.

And so everyone is aware, these will take about a month to ship out. Why such a long wait? Well, they’re selling the print early to open up access to the proceeds for the film shoot, which is three and a half weeks away!

Soundgarden, Nirvana tribute art prints by Jermaine Rogers on sale details

No comments:

All 3 of the print editions listed below will be available at JermaineRogers.com on Friday, July 29th at 3:00 PM EASTERN (12 NOON PACIFIC.)

- SOUNDGARDEN print (Fairfax, VA) -
Measuring approx. 18x24 inches, this screen-print was a big hit at the San Diego Comic-Con. The print was made for the mighty Soundgarden's recent show in Fairfax, Va. About the imagery, Jermaine says that he wanted a 'certain ambiguity to be in the air. One of these gentlemen is 'selling out'. The question is, which one?' From a signed and numbered edition of only 100 prints. A limited amount is available. $50 USD each, plus shipping/handling.

- NIRVANA Tribute Print: 'I'm Not Like Them...' (Artist's Edition) -

Jermaine was one of the artists commissioned for the "NIRVANA: Taking Punk to The Masses" exhibit by the Experience Music Project (with approval from the Cobain estate.) This print is entitled, 'I'm Not Like Them...' and measures approx. 24x18 inches. Offered here is the artist's edition, printed on cream colored stock (the regular edition, on sale at the EMP Museum, is printed on white stock.) About the imagery, Jermaine says: 'Sometimes it's hard to remember that everyone we know is basically the result of whatever happened to them when they were a child. Everyone around you is a child... deformed, in a way, by age and experience. Little Kurt was a boy who would be king... a king with a rusty crown. It might've been better if he'd been a plumber... or an accountant. Oh, the selfish part of us won't even tolerate that idea... but it might've been better. A life is worth something. It's worth something.' The artist's edition is limited to only 75 prints, and a limited amount of these are being made available. $50 USD each, plus shipping/handling.

- 'Self Portrait' Art Print -
About this 24x20 in. (approx.) screen print, Jermaine says, 'I'm pathetic. You don't have to tell me.' From a signed and numbered edition of 150. $40 USD each, plus shipping/handling.

Matt W. Moore Infinity Knot Theory Art Print on sale

No comments:

Matt Moore, or MWM, is a master of geometric ingeniousness - in our books. To have him create a little somethin-somethin for 1xRUN, let alone this impressive seven color silkscreen print, is an honor. This is a brand new piece of Matt's, belonging to his self-titled sub-genre of Vectorfunk. Hey, we dig vectors - they're all shiny, scalable, low file size - and funk is awesome, but what's Vectorfunk?

Vectorfunk is the name Matt Moore gives to the abstract digital artwork that he creates... using Adobe Illustrator. Vector graphics are created by arranging points to create form, as opposed to raster graphics that are made up of pixels. Many years ago while Matt was in school learning graphic design, he immersed himself in this method of rendering images.

"The work that I do in this style is inspired by abstract geometry, optical illusions, and free form composition," he explains. "Most of my Vectorfunk work celebrates vibrant colors and unique color combination's. My goal is always to grab the viewer and ask them to fall into the design, following a line through the piece, or trying to evaluate what is in front and what's behind." These colorful, abstract mazes of form and color have certainly captivated us!

All prints are Signed & Numbered by the Artist and come with a Certificate of Authenticity from 1xRUN.

  • Colors were custom mixed by us, nothing straight out of a can.
  • Each layer was hand-pulled by us–no machines.
  • The print is not a full bleed, it floats within a roughly 1.625” white border on all sides.
  • The original artwork and typography was first hand drawn by us, then screened–nothing ripped off.

Clint Wilson Mystery Tube Sale PLUS- Tim Doyles Transformers prints in each tube!

No comments:

Clint Wilson has moved into a new apartment, and he’s got TOO MANY POSTERS! So, to prevent him from having to build his new entertainment center out of posters, Nakatomi is having a tube sale to help him clear out some space!

And, to make it extra special, wthey’re throwing in a copy of Tim Doyle’s Transformers: The Movie screenprint in each tube ordered, regular or variant! (It’s random…like a MYSTERY or something!)

These prints are all slightly mis-printed, mainly with just little ink-drops in the border. They ended up with right over 50 of these that are PRETTY MUCH perfect except for little smudgies in the corners.

Some of them have smudgies, and others HAD smudgies on the top white border so they chopped the top white area off, but not into the image area. They’re are all signed, and once framed, you won’t see any difference. Nakatomi will not have any copies of this print for sale at a later date, so this might be your last chance to pick one up at a reasonable price. (Seriously, have you seen what people are paying for them on eBay? Crazy.)

Clint comes to Nakatomi and says- “I’d like to do a tube sale!” And they said, “We’ve got these Transformers posters that are great but not sale-able at full price!” It’s a match made in heaven.

5 prints per tube. 4 completely perfect Clint Wilson prints. One of them is going to be the Transformers print, regular or variant. $50 a tube. Only 50 tubes available.

Come get ‘em HERE.

Shepard Fairey Urban Roots Movie Poster

No comments:

I created this poster for the documentary Urban Roots. It’s a great film and I know from working with these same folks on the 11th Hour that they are great grassroots activists. A portion of the proceeds from this poster go to Urban Roots Action.

-Shepard

Urban Roots and it’s action to put farms in schools is getting a big push from Shepard Fairey who has generously created a poster to support the action and will donate proceeds from his artwork. OBEY Clothing will also sell a T-Shirt of Fairey’s Urban Roots image in which 100% of profits will go to putting farms in schools. Urban Roots, Tree Media’s next documentary, is a timely, moving and inspiring film about the emergence of urban farmers in the most unlikely of places, in downtown Detroit. Produced by Leila Conners (The 11th Hour) and Mathew Schmid and directed by Detroit-native Mark MacInnis, the film shows the vibrant local economy of farming that has united people from all walks of life, all ages and races, who have come together to create community based on healing the soil, growing and eating healthy food. Urban Roots goes beyond film; it is also a call to action, as a portion of proceeds goes to putting farms in schools through the Tree Media Foundation. By pulling out asphalt and putting in farms, children will experience the growth cycle of seed to harvest to table and take the message home that growing your own food is a simple and vital process. To join the movement, plant your field of dreams and help others do so too, please go to:
