Nine Inch Nails Came Back Haunted Video Directed by David Lynch

No comments:

I love Trent Reznor and Nine Nails, so I was rather happy when I heard he has continued with the group. I also love the work of David Lynch. This is what happens when two of the most creative people in the world get together.

Nine Inch Nails released their new David Lynch directed music video for “Came Back Haunted,” a single from their upcoming album Hesitation Marks (releasing on September 3, 2013). You can download the new track or pre-order the upcoming album from iTunes and the Nine Inch Nails website.

I was thinking about this song.. you see it has a history. Rancid was kicking this particular one around; we had recorded it as a demo around the time of "Let's Go" and we played it live back then..I hope you're still with me..Fast forward ten years from the release of "Lets Go" up to Lars' Frederiksen And The Bastards 'Viking' album, where it officially appears on wax for the first time.. Add on to that another 10 years, which brings us to Feb 2013, for this version here-- a hyper take played by the Twins and I.- Tim Armstrong

Darin Shock is huge fan of Dexter and created this paper toy last year and since the premier is this Sunday he thought it would be cool to offer it as a free download once again for fans of the show.

Brady Scott Cigar Box Guitar Festival Prints and Custom Banjo Heads

No comments:

Brady Scott did these prints to commemorate the 3rd annual Cigar Box Guitar Festival in Kansas City, MO. Each print is a high quality reproduction of his original charcoal & pastel drawings. They are 11 x 17 and they are digitally printed on a nice thick paper. Then he sprays each print with a UV coating and hands sign each one.

He also has a line of Custom Banjo Heads with his illustrations printed directly to the banjo head. Every Banjo Blossom Custom Banjo Head begins with a band new Remo Weather King Head. All of Brady's artwork is hand drawn with love and care the old fashioned way. Then each piece is scanned into the computer and printed with meticulous craftsmanship by Woodshed Stage Art. They are printed with a very unique and durable UV ink direct to head printing process that took a while to perfect and as far as I know are the only real line of custom banjo heads out there.

To see more of Brady's work and to purchase the prints and Banjo Heads hit up his website  http://bradyscott.weebly.com/index.html . The Banjo heads are under the Banjo Blossoms tab on his site.

Silver

Jimbob Isaac was delighted to work with the stellar fellows of RED FANG. An amazing live band, and great dudes to boot. Here is the poster version, of the t-shirt design he recently completed for them. Aaron suggested something along the lines of a Lion’s head on an ant’s body, or an Ant’s head on a Lion’s body. Either way, it sounded like something that was in line with his artwork, and something that he could run with and expand upon.

This was created with pencil sketch, pen and ink, and digitally colored check out some of his process images HERE. Burlesque Design handled the printing, and they did a sterling job. The silver color way, has a metallic ink for the highlight.

Orwell was right!" - Dxtr

The ten members come from a graffiti background and focus on high quality character design in unique recognizable styles. They work as artists, graphic designers, illustrators and lecturers. Armando Chainsawhands I Want To Believe Poster Release

1 comment:

Armando Chainsawhands has new screen print that he is gonna be releasing next Tuesday. I love the statement it makes for all the crap going on right. I always enjoy a little political fueled message in art. Plus it is good to see an artist take a stand and express it in their work. People in Brazil are rioting over bus fares going up 10 cents, our government is capturing everything we do and most people do nothing.

I Want To Believe is a 18" x 24" print on French Parchtone Relic Gold in a signed/numbered edition of 50.

The prints will go on sale this Tuesday, July 2 at NOON CDT, under the Prints section of his website at www.armandochainsawhands.com.

Next is En Route, it is a print made with and for a Screenprinting Workshop run at The Bird Machine on Saturday June 15, 2013.

Jay Shaw A Band Called Death Poster Release Details from Mondo

No comments:
Poster by Jay Shaw. 18"x24" screen print. Hand numbered. Edition of 100.

Mondo will be releasing their poster for Drafthouse Films' recent acquisition, a documentary called A BAND CALLED DEATH. For their fans who have never heard of punk trio DEATH, watch the trailer for the film HERE. Their story is fascinating.

In short, they were a band who's sound, some say, pre-dates The Ramones and Sex Pistols in originating Punk Rock as we know it. Trouble is, they were an all-black band with a controversial name that made record labels weary of their marketability, and so their album never got released. Unbeknownst to them, their only release, a 7" single, became a secret success in the underground vinyl collectors market. It ultimately drove the band to reunite and find unexpected success 35 years after the recording of the material.

A BAND CALLED DEATH captures the fall and unexpected rise of a band who's singular vision paid off in unexpected ways. Mondo are super excited to release their new poster by Jay Shaw. Be sure to check out the film, now on VOD, when it comes out in select theaters courtesy of Drafthouse Films.

This poster will be available online at a random time on Thursday, June 27th at Mondotees.com

Adam Pobiak Goat London Poster Release

No comments:
The Swedish group GOAT are in London tomorrow night and Adam Pobiak has created a wild eye bending poster for them. Wondering who Goat is, they are a Swedish alternative and experimental fusion music group. Their album World Music, released in August 2012 by Rocket Recordings, was hailed by The Guardian as one of the best albums of 2012. I had never heard of them before and checked out the video below for the live performance of Goatlord and they pretty good.
